Brasília relocation guide
Working remotely in Brasília
Check the connection at the home, then test the backup.

The short answer
A Brasília address can give you a workable home office, but the plan name will not establish its performance. Reitec publishes residential offers for Asa Norte, and two coworking operators provide nearby alternatives to investigate. Start with coverage at the exact apartment, test your calls and upload tasks, and arrange a backup you can actually reach. Keep the immigration route separate from both the internet plan and the housing budget.
- Reitec advertises 300 MEGA at US$20 (BRL 99) a month and 600 MEGA at US$40 (BRL 199) a month.
- Brasília uses America/Sao_Paulo, currently UTC minus 3. Foreign meeting offsets can change with the date.
- The national remote-work route depends on foreign work evidence and financial requirements, rather than a local apartment lease.
Confirm the exact installation
| Provider | Published offer or contact | Check at the address |
|---|---|---|
| Reitec, Asa Norte | 300 MEGA US$20 (BRL 99) a month. 600 MEGA US$40 (BRL 199) a month. +55 61 3214 8200. | Coverage, installation date, upload, equipment and contract term. |
| Yawl | WhatsApp +55 61 99923 7741. Phone +55 61 3223 0222. | CEP and apartment coverage. Obtain a current written plan quote. |
Ask who holds the contract, what installation work the building allows and what happens when you leave. Test calls from the room where you will work, rather than beside the router alone.1,
Make the alternative usable
iSpaces publishes a coworking day at US$18 (BRL 89) and four hours at US$14 (BRL 69), at SHN Quadra 2 Bloco F. 365 is at SCLRN 705 Bloco E Loja 8, with weekday and Saturday opening hours. Its 24-hour access is reserved for fixed-plan members.3,
Try the backup journey and a real call before the first important meeting. A second plan does not automatically mean an independent network or power supply. Read the desk details for the specific products.
Set meetings on the actual date
IANA places Distrito Federal in America/Sao_Paulo. The current offset is UTC minus 3, without a seasonal clock change since 2019. Check the other country's offset for the meeting date, especially around its own seasonal changes.8
Keep the national remote-work rule separate
CNIg Resolution 45/2021 provides a national route for qualifying remote activity for a foreign employer. Article 5 requires the relevant work evidence and foreign-source monthly income of at least US$1,500, or bank funds of at least US$18,000. Brazil-valid health insurance is also part of the route.7
The initial residence can be up to one year, with an equal-period renewal subject to requirements. This is an eligibility framework, not a Brasília living-cost estimate or permission for ordinary local employment. Check the authority's requirements for your status before relying on it.7
Local employment has a different permission and registration question. Use the moving sequence to keep the steps clear.
Questions people ask
Does the advertised speed establish good video calls?
No. Ask about upload and test your own calls at the apartment. The advertised residential package is not measured performance at that address or a business service guarantee.
Where can I book a desk backup?
iSpaces publishes day and four-hour coworking products at SHN Quadra 2 Bloco F. 365 publishes day booking at SCLRN 705 Bloco E Loja 8, with different ordinary and member access hours.
Does Brasília change its clocks seasonally?
The current America/Sao_Paulo rules use UTC minus 3, without a seasonal change since 2019. Your meeting offset can still change when the other country changes clocks.
Is US$1,500 the recommended monthly budget?
No. It is the national remote-work route's foreign-source income threshold. Article 5 alternatively allows US$18,000 in bank funds. Housing, care and the rest of your household need their own budget.
