A Brasília pet move has three separate decisions. Brazil sets the entry documents, the landlord and building decide the housing arrangement, and outdoor venues publish their own animal rules. Several Coemi apartment examples explicitly accept pets, but that does not establish every building condition. Jardim Botânico de Brasília and the federal national park also have different assistance-dog wording. Check the exact permission you need before booking the day.

Arrange Brazil's entry documents
MAPA's ordinary dog and cat route requires an official International Veterinary Certificate, or an accepted official passport, from the origin country's veterinary authority. Its current page applies the Ordinance 741/2024 certificate model from September 6, 2025.9,
The annex separates the certificate's validity from the health preparation windows. It includes a first-rabies-vaccination wait, parasite-treatment timing and a clinical examination before issue. Have the origin authority apply the exact requirements and any animal or country exception. The airline's carrier and booking rules remain separate.9,

Can I take an ordinary dog to Jardim Botânico?
Its published visitor rules prohibit ordinary pets. The stated exception specifically covers working guide dogs. Ask the venue about the exact circumstances before visiting.
How does the national park distinguish assistance animals?
Guide dogs enter through the ticket office with the identification card, identification plate, collar, leash, handled harness and current vaccination records required by the park. Other assistance animals documented by a psychiatric report need prior administration authorization, which may restrict dates and locations. Is an airline booking enough to enter Brazil with a pet?
No. The ordinary dog and cat route also needs MAPA-compliant official veterinary documentation. Ask the origin veterinary authority to apply the current certificate requirements and any exception.
