Acceptable use policy

This policy applies to everyone who uses the website, My Area, the community, and provider or employer access. It is part of our terms of use.

Do not use our services to break the law or to deceive an authority, landlord, bank, or employer. Never ask us or a provider to prepare false documents or to misrepresent your situation.

Give accurate information about yourself and your household, and do not pretend to be someone else.

Share only information and files you have the right to share. Do not publish other people's documents, contact details, or private messages without their permission.

Do not try to access accounts, moves, or files that are not yours. Do not probe, scan, or overload the website, upload harmful files, or collect information from it automatically.

If you find a security problem, report it as our security page describes.

Be respectful. Do not post spam, advertising, harassment, hateful content, or professional advice presented as confirmed for another member. Moderators may hide posts and restrict participation.

Providers and employers may use what a household shares only for the agreed purpose and only while access lasts. Do not copy shared files beyond what the work needs, or use them for any other purpose.

Treat our team, providers, and other members with respect. We may end support when communication becomes abusive or threatening.

We may remove content, pause or close accounts, end services as our terms describe, and report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.

To report misuse, email hello@settleinlatinamerica.com with a short description and a link if you have one. In the community, you can also report a post directly.
