The short answer
EAB in Asa Sul and British School Brasília in Lago Sul provide two concrete school options to investigate. Their published application routes, calendars and school-day details differ. EAB also has a current admissions page that describes testing differently from its May 2024 policy. Send the child's actual history and support needs, ask for the current grade-specific process, and price the full school package before choosing housing.
- EAB is at SGAS 605 in Asa Sul. British School Brasília is at SHIS QI 7/9 in Lago Sul.
- EAB's application-stage fee is US$110 (BRL 550), separate from tuition. Its waitlist application is free.
- Admission, support and attendance costs need a school decision for the particular child.
Compare the two published routes
| School | Address and contact | Published process |
|---|---|---|

| British School Brasília | SHIS QI 7/9 Block 17 Lot F, Lago Sul. +55 61 3248 3694 or +55 61 3248 7096. WhatsApp +55 61 98129 9159. | Curriculum inspired by England's national curriculum, with Portuguese. Application, reports where required, meeting and assessment according to year. |
Prepare EAB's actual application
EAB asks international applicants for the child's and parents' passports, parent CPF, school records and confidential recommendations. It requests the last two years of reports. Review can start without some CPF, immunization or blood-type details, but enrollment still requires the missing items.4,
Its US$110 (BRL 550) application fee applies when the process moves to testing and committee review. The school says a waitlist application is free. Request tuition and attendance costs separately. Its August-to-June calendar makes January a second-semester entry, so discuss grade placement carefully.4,
The current page lists MAP and WIDA for Grades 2 to 10. The May 2024 policy separately requires WIDA for non-native English applicants in Grades 5 to 12. It sets different thresholds by grade. Ask the school which current tests and thresholds apply to this child rather than combining those lists into one rule.4,
The policy describes support for mild to moderate needs through individual review. It also treats late entry to the two-year IB course carefully. Share the full support and course history before relying on a transfer date.8
Confirm the British School day and year
The school's general routine is 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with after-school activities from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Its illustrative Early Years full-day schedule instead finishes at 3:15 p.m. Ask for the actual class schedule before arranging pickup.1,
Use the year-specific assessment and meeting to clarify language support, the previous curriculum and any learning needs. Get tuition, enrollment, materials, meals, activities and transport in one written quote. The published application page does not settle those costs or a current vacancy.1,
Keep the public-school route separate
The official Regular 2026 portal still describes the October 2025 application window and January 2026 enrollment. It now says registration is closed. That page does not establish a 2027 window or an in-year place. Ask SEEDF through 156, option 2, for the route for your arrival date and support needs.7
Plan the family routine and compare home locations once the school gives you a clear answer.
