Compare costs with the right period

Pérolas da Atalaia advertises US$581 (BRL 2,900) per month for rent, plus a monthly condominium charge and annual IPTU. Aruana Prime Residence advertises US$441 (BRL 2,200) monthly rent. These are individual offers, not a city average.^5,6,22

Use cost of living to compare the charges without turning annual taxes or unstated periods into a monthly budget. Utility arrangements need an exact-property check too.

Test a normal day

SMTT publishes a 2026 passenger bus fare of US$0.90 (BRL 4.50). Check the current itinerary and travel in both directions at the times you need. Terminal do Mercado platform changes begin October 12, 2026, so an older boarding habit may need updating.^4,7,9,22
