Moving a dog or cat to Campinas starts with Brazil's entry requirements, followed by an animal-compatible home and a local care plan. The municipality offers circulating veterinary consultations and a separate scheduled neutering service. Their access rules differ. Check the current service location and your accepted documents, and confirm the lease permits your animal before booking the move.

What needs to be settled first?
Ordinary dog and cat entry
MAPA's current entry guidance uses the certificate model under Portaria 741/2024, mandatory from September 6, 2025. The ordinary route requires an official CVI or an appropriately issued or endorsed passport meeting Brazil's requirements. Special cases can follow different rules.1,
The annex distinguishes a 21-day wait after a first rabies vaccination, parasite treatment within 15 days before CVI issue and a clinical examination within 10 days before issue. The certificate has a separate 60-day validity condition while rabies vaccination remains current. Confirm the schedule with the issuing authority and the airline.1,

Check the actual lease
KI001249 in Barão Geraldo explicitly prohibits animals. Other rental descriptions do not establish universal permission. Ask for the home's condition in writing and confirm building and transport rules separately.3
Compare the rental offers, the home area and your transport plan. Keep veterinary paperwork in the moving file and check park information before a visit.
Questions people ask
Is Campinas mobile veterinary consultation a full emergency hospital?
No. The published service excludes surgery, laboratory tests and imaging. Arrange a separate veterinary emergency plan for the animal.
Do I book a mobile consultation and neutering the same way?
No. Mobile consultations use arrival order without appointments at the circulating service. Castramóvel neutering requires a prior appointment and regional eligibility.
Must I bring the animal when booking Castramóvel?
The service says the animal is not needed at the booking stage. Follow the actual appointment and veterinary instructions for the procedure.
Does permission to enter Brazil permit my pet in every home or park?
No. National entry requirements, lease terms, building rules, transport and park access are separate. KI001249 explicitly prohibits animals.
