Campinas has distinct routes for routine care, urgent care and specialist hospital treatment. The municipal service lists four free UPAs open around the clock. Centro de Saúde Taquaral is a routine contact. Unicamp HC describes high-complexity SUS referral pathways, rather than an ordinary walk-in clinic. Keep those roles separate, and confirm the conflicting published street details before traveling to an unfamiliar UPA.

CNES instead lists Carlos Lourenço at Rua Praia da Enseada, without a number, and São José on the same municipal street without a number. Confirm the entrance with the municipal service. Registry phones also differ for some units, so the table keeps the municipal source's contacts together.4,
The municipal service describes risk-based triage, not arrival-order care. Bring photo ID if available, but the page explicitly says care is provided without it. All four UPA registry details had no disabling code in the checked responses. That field does not establish live staffing or a waiting time.4,

Ministry of Health Note 8/2024 says missing identity or residence documents must not bar migrant primary care. It recognizes passports and migration documents for SUS registration. This national guidance does not create an immediate specialist appointment.3
Private care needs its own confirmation
Vera Cruz Hospital lists its emergency department at Av. Andrade Neves 402, Centro. Its laboratory, diagnostic and specialist units have separate addresses. Ask for the exact service location and whether your specific plan covers it. A hospital brand on a policy list is not enough.1,
ANS lists maximum waiting periods for new or adapted plans, including 24 hours for urgent and emergency care, subject to plan type and coverage rules. Do not read that as automatic full hospital admission. Plan segmentation and individual conditions matter.1,

Does Unicamp HC accept ordinary walk-in appointments?
HC says it is not an ordinary open-door urgent clinic. Its high-complexity SUS care follows referral, risk and regulated entry pathways, with specific rescue exceptions.
Can missing ID prevent UPA care?
The municipal UPA page says photo ID helps but care is provided without it. National primary-care guidance separately protects access despite missing documentation.
Which UPA addresses disagree between publishers?
Carlos Lourenço is Rua Praia da Urca 30 in the municipal service and Rua Praia da Enseada without a number in CNES. São José has municipal number 159 and CNES S/N. Confirm the entrance.
Can the Unicamp WhatsApp reschedule my appointment?
No. The published WhatsApp is for information and does not confirm, book, reschedule or cancel. HC says rescheduling is in person.
