Campinas relocation guide

Moving to Campinas with children

Confirm the school place first. Then make the home, care route and ordinary week work around it.

The short answer

A family move to Campinas becomes easier to assess once the school place is concrete. Public early childhood and elementary requests follow different routes, while EAC has its own review and vacancy process. Choose housing after that decision. Check the room layout, useful furniture and daily journey, then save urgent-care contacts and a nearby park option for the first weeks.

School comes first. An application or waitlist entry is not a confirmed place.
Home size needs reading. A reversible bedroom and yard-inclusive area need a closer look.
Parks have different hours. Taquaral opens daily. Bosque dos Jequitibás closes Mondays.

What makes the family plan workable?

Put the decisions in order

Family planning sequence
Decision	Local check	Why it matters
School	Use the relevant SME request or EAC review.	The routes have different dates and conditions.
Home	AP250735 has three bedrooms including one reversible. AP325540 combines interior and yard descriptions.	The headline size or bedroom count may not fit the actual household.
Journey	Test the home entrance to the exact school entrance.	The map and neighborhood label do not establish travel time.
Care	Save a municipal UPA contact and arrange routine care.	Unicamp HC is a referral service, not the ordinary walk-in plan.

Keep an ordinary day-out option

The directory lists Lagoa do Taquaral daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Bosque dos Jequitibás is listed Tuesday to Sunday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., closed Mondays. Hermógenes park in Barão Geraldo is listed daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Check current notices after heavy rain.^1,2,6,13

For a stroller or mobility aid, inspect the actual entrance and route before relying on it. The directory establishes addresses and hours, without proving a continuous accessible journey.

Build the household plan

Use public-school enrollment or EAC admissions, then compare the housing examples. Save care contacts and read park details. Put the appointments into the moving checklist.

Questions people ask

Should I choose a Campinas lease before the school place?

Confirm the school arrangement first when it determines your routine. Then test the actual daily journey and choose a home around it.

AP250735 describes three bedrooms including one reversible. Inspect how that room is configured and whether it suits the child or adult who will use it.

Which listed family park closes Mondays?

Bosque dos Jequitibás. The municipal directory lists Tuesday to Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Does the park directory confirm stroller access?

No. It gives locations and ordinary hours. Check the actual entrance, surface, crossings and any assistance you need.
