The short answer

Start a Córdoba move by matching nationality, income and proposed work to Argentina's current residence categories. Prepare identity, entry, address and applicable criminal records. Then obtain temporary accommodation, an itemized housing quote and medical cover. Municipal CAPeM can help with administrative procedures and local orientation, but it does not issue residence approval. School placement, pet entry and accessible transfers require their own operator or authority checks.

  • CAPeM assists at Caseros 356.
  • National records rules apply to applicants over 16, with category-specific details.
  • A current lease needs currency and adjustment terms in writing.
  • Pet certificates need timed veterinary preparation.

What the evidence can support

Complete the dependent checks first

  1. Choose the lawful category

Match nationality, passive income, pension or overseas work to the national service. A spending budget does not establish eligibility.

  2. Prepare the documents

Check identity, regular entry, address and required criminal certificates. Confirm legalization and certified Spanish translation.

  3. Arrange medical cover

Obtain an actual policy and identify the hospital network and payment process.

  4. Confirm temporary housing

Obtain the full accommodation charge and cancellation terms before travel.

  5. Prepare pets and school inquiries

Work backward from veterinary certificate dates and the child's confirmed placement needs.

Current temporary-residence service pages require applicable criminal certificates for applicants over 16. The foreign-record requirement includes countries where the person lived more than one year in the previous three years. Documents may require apostille or legalization and certified Spanish translation.2

Do not confuse the lease with its first-month cash

Argentina's current Code permits agreed rent currency, adjustment index and lease term. Córdoba's professional commission regime permits an agreed fee and provides a default where no agreement exists. Request each line in writing before transferring money.3,4

Use the actual municipal help and transport system

CAPeM describes assistance with residency procedures, CiDi, CVs and qualification recognition. Its October notice lists Caseros 356 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays. Residence approval remains with the national migration authority.5,6

The municipal notice ended RedBus on December 31, 2025. Use the current SUBE process and verify any benefit eligibility separately. For an emergency, the municipal directory lists police 911 and ambulance 107.7,8

Check the current declaration implementation

DNU 366/2025 Article 9 adds purpose and health-insurance declaration wording to Migration Law Article 34. Article 33 adds Article 123 bis, which makes the declaration enforceable once implementation is regulated. This guide did not verify the implementing procedure or a universal current border form.9

Questions people ask

What should come first in a Córdoba moving checklist?

The national residence or visitor route for your actual nationality and activity. Then price housing and care. A cheap core scenario cannot settle legal eligibility.

Who issues residence approval for a Córdoba move?

Dirección Nacional de Migraciones. Municipal CAPeM offers help with procedures but does not issue the residence decision.

Which criminal records may a Córdoba residence applicant need?

The current temporary-residence pages specify records for applicants over 16, including applicable foreign residence history. Check the category's exact legalization and translation requirements.

When should I obtain a Córdoba lease draft?

Before paying a deposit or commission. Read the currency, index, adjustment timing, deposit return and early-exit terms.

What does the Córdoba first-month sheet need?

Temporary accommodation, first rent, expensas, deposit, agreed commission, documents, medical cover and transfer. Verified individual quotes should replace blank figures.

Can I rely on an older Córdoba migrant guide for current free healthcare?

No. Current local foreign-patient routine-care rules were not verified. Ask the actual municipal or provincial institution.

Is the national health-insurance entry declaration fully implemented?

The statute conditions enforceability on implementation regulation. This guide did not verify that current procedure, so it does not promise a universal active border form.

How should I sequence Córdoba pet paperwork?

Follow SENASA's current certificate, rabies, health and parasite timing. Confirm the airline and return-country rules separately before booking.
