Utility setup is easier when the landlord supplies the actual bills and meter details before handover. Confirm the account holder, outstanding amounts, service condition and proposed transfer for each account. Prolagos has separate central Cabo Frio and Tamoios stores. Read the holder-transfer choice
Prolagos's undated form asks for identification, CPF, owner or tenant status, address and account matrícula. It offers one checkbox for transfer with debts and an agreed amount, and another for transfer without debts. The October 2026 publisher path is not proof of a publication date.2
Ask the provider to identify the account balance and the effect of the option you will sign. Keep the agreed choice with the lease and handover record. Do not infer from the form that every new tenant must accept a previous holder's debts.2
Confirm the electricity holder and conditions
Enel's March 26, 2025 instructions accept photo identification including a passport or RNE. They state that the new holder must be 18 or older, or emancipated, and have no overdue Enel debt on their own CPF or CNPJ. Proof of possession can be required where the property has unpaid or upcoming bills.3
The Rio de Janeiro WhatsApp is +55 21 99601 9608, option 7, with a store route also available. Confirm the supplier on the actual bill, required documents and service condition. The published process does not establish that this home has already been transferred or connected.3
Check the home, contract and handover
Gigalink's Cabo Frio store is at Av Teixeira e Souza 926, Centro, with +55 22 3512 2000 published as a 24-hour phone contact. Its offers carry address-specific technology and contract conditions. Ask for a written installation answer for the exact unit.4
At inspection
Request the current water, electricity and internet bills. Identify separate or shared meters and anything included in condominium.
At handover
Photograph meter readings and record the date, account numbers, keys and existing service condition with the landlord.
After the request
Keep the protocol and confirm completion directly. Test water storage and actual internet performance rather than treating a submitted request as a working service.

Must I transfer the old holder's water debts?
