Belém transport planning starts with the address you will use repeatedly. A metropolitan school or workplace can change the journey considerably. ARCON's February 2026 notice explains BRT Metropolitano fares, payment and free days. It does not establish every municipal bus rule or a live timetable. Confirm the route and return journey before making housing depend on it.

ARCON explicitly distinguished Carnival Tuesday from a state or national holiday. Do not assume a day with reduced office hours has free travel. Check the rule for the date and service you intend to use.3
Keep the metropolitan scope visible
The state launch describes one-fare integration between feeders and trunk services. ARCON's later notice describes six trunk lines and 26 feeders linking Belém with Ananindeua, Marituba, Benevides, Santa Bárbara, Santa Izabel and Castanhal. Those are dated system descriptions, not a live frequency promise.3,
If Amazon Valley Academy is your school lead, plan the Ananindeua journey as its own test. Check the entrance, changes, walking sections and afternoon return with the school. No school-bus service or complete accessible route is established by the BRT network description.7
Test the trip before choosing the lease
- Use the exact home and destination entrances, not only the neighborhood names.
- Make the journey at the time you expect to travel.
- Check the return service and a wet-weather alternative.
- Confirm each paid boarding and where integration applies.
- For ride-hailing, match the booked driver and vehicle and share the trip.

Can I rely on a wheelchair-accessible journey from the network description?
No. Confirm the specific entrance, platform, vehicle, boarding assistance and walking sections for the traveler. A system description is not proof of a continuous accessible route.
