Tax residence is a separate determination
Income Tax Law 20,628 Article 116(b) covers permanent residence or twelve months of temporary migration authorizations. The provision makes residence effective at the beginning of the following month and contains defined exceptions. It is not a universal 183-day rule. Article 1 addresses residents' worldwide income.
