Tilcara has registered local schools. No international curriculum or English-medium school was verified in the town.

The short answer
Choose a Tilcara school from its actual teaching offer and your child's needs. The official register identifies local early-years, primary and secondary institutions. It does not establish an International Baccalaureate program, an English-medium curriculum or a current place for a new student. If either curriculum continuity or specialist support is essential, settle that question before arranging housing.
- Start with the child's grade and teaching needs.
- Ask about the language of each subject.
- Confirm the current campus and shift.
- Do not treat construction plans as an open school.

Early years and cooperative education
The register lists JIN 13 at Rivadavia 587 and an annex at Lavalle 555. Tierra del Sol appears at Jujuy 448 under social/cooperative management, with early-years and primary offers. Ask which location and age group apply to your child. Its management category alone does not establish the current pedagogy, fees or admissions policy.1
Secondary campuses and the building project
Bachillerato Provincial 25 has a registered Centro address on Rivadavia. The ministry's September 2026 notice describes retendering a new building shared with IES 2. Ask the school where classes actually meet now. Casanova secondary and Colegio Secundario de Artes 49 have Villa Las Rosas entries, which makes it important to check the correct campus before planning a journey.1,
What to ask at an admissions meeting
Ask about the full weekly timetable, the language used in lessons, how staff assess a transferring student and the documents required before a start date. Explain any learning, medical or accessibility needs. Request the current charges and what they include. If the school cannot meet an essential requirement, resolve the alternative location and travel before committing to Tilcara.1
