Settle the home and the routine first

Housing, accounts and the work room

Before signing, review the written lease with the agent, including its term, rent adjustments, inventory, building fees and payment schedule. Ask how the guarantee, deposit return, repairs and pets work. Resolve the Colón studio's size conflict and the Luro apartment's lease period before signing.^1,2,3

Check electricity, water, heating and internet at the unit. EDEA's name change and OSSE's new connection are different procedures. Ask which one the home needs, with recent bills and the owner's assistance.^7,9,11

School, care and travel

Ask the actual school about grade, place, documents, schedule and support. Try the outward and return route. The municipal directories cover the wider district, so confirm the campus rather than assuming every option is nearby.^5,12,13,14

For CEMA, start with the physician at the health center serving your home. Confirm your documents, residence-category access, treatment and possible charges. Its scheduled specialist referral is separate from emergency care.^4,8

Driving and pet entry

National visitor guidance gives international permits under the Inter-American Convention one year from issuance. National licenses from Geneva or Vienna contracting states have a maximum of one year from entry. Check the document, nationality and visitor-status requirements, then confirm local and rental-company acceptance. Residents must check licensing separately.^6,10

SENASA requires a health certificate issued within 10 days before the international veterinary certificate, or CVI, is issued. Internal and external parasite treatment must occur within 15 days before CVI issuance or official passport endorsement. The passport alternative does not change the CVI-only health-certificate clock.¹⁵

A first rabies vaccination requires at least 21 days before entry. SENASA's stated CVI travel validity is 60 days while rabies vaccination remains valid. An ordinary vaccination booklet is not an officially endorsed pet passport. Check the actual journey with the exporting authority and carrier, and ask the landlord about pets.^2,15

When does my pet need the health certificate?

When must parasite treatment take place?

Internal and external treatment must fall within 15 days before CVI issuance or official passport endorsement. That alternative is separate from the health-certificate rule.

Does the visitor driving rule settle resident licensing?

No. It describes qualifying visitor documents. A resident must separately check the license valid for their circumstances with the responsible authority.
