Campos do Jordão relocation guide

Safety in Campos do Jordão

Ask about the property's drainage and access. Follow current Civil Defense instructions when conditions change.

The short answer

Campos do Jordão's Civil Defense guidance names cracks, jammed doors or windows and uneven ground as warning signs. Its September 16, 2026 notice followed a local household removal, rather than a citywide evacuation. Before renting, ask about drainage, retaining structures and access during heavy rain. Keep current warnings and emergency contacts separate from neighborhood reputation and historical storm reports.

Call 199 for Civil Defense. The local notice also gives +55 12 98863 1525.
Call 193 for the Fire Department. Use 192 for a medical emergency.
Ask about the actual property. A district name cannot establish parcel risk.
Historical events are context. Check the current notice before a journey or outing.

The September 16 notice advises moving to a safe place and contacting Civil Defense if the named structural or ground warning signs appear. Do not stay beside a suspect wall or slope to document it. Follow the responding authority's instructions.^1,9

Ask questions the home can answer

Ask whether water enters the building, garage or access route during heavy rain.
Ask about previous damage, repairs and any professional assessment of retaining structures.
Inspect where rainwater drains and whether the exit remains usable.
Confirm who reports a building problem and where the household would go if told to leave.

Use current conditions for the actual day

The climate chart is a historical regional model. It is not a rain warning or a property-risk map. Consult current official alerts before an outing and ask the park operator about closures when weather disrupts access.^2,3,4,5,7,12

For the hospital and routine care contacts, use the healthcare guide. For a home with stairs or rotating parking, inspect those details during the viewing rather than relying on a summary label.^6,8,13,14,15
