Read the 2026 rules within their actual scope
Portaria SEMECTEL 11, Articles 1 and 2, covers CIEP 147 and Francisco Porto for the first semester of 2026. Its January 12 to 23 new-application window for CIEP has ended. Article 8 provides a public lottery for Francisco Porto if demand exceeds remaining places, after renewals and subject to a separate procedure. It does not establish an open lottery now.2
Resolution SEMECTEL 08 of December 30, 2025, published February 4, 2026, sets a framework for full-time education. Articles 2 and 3 describe available places and progressive implementation. That framework does not make every school or class full time. Ask the unit for the child's actual timetable and collection arrangements.3
Ask the unit how it handles your child's records
The enrollment rule lists identity and CPF records, proof of address, health records and other documents according to age and circumstances. For a child under eighteen, it requires the legal guardian to handle the application. Ask how foreign identity, prior school reports, grade equivalence and any translations are accepted in your case.2
