The short answer

The ferry operator publishes departures every 30 minutes from 6 a.m. to midnight, with separate overnight arrangements. Its table lists a standard passenger category at US$1.20 (R$6) and a standard car category at US$4.55 (R$22.70) in the weekday daytime band. Ask how your party is charged, then allow for the approach, queue and onward trip. A departure interval is not a door-to-door journey time.

  • The published daytime interval is 30 minutes.
  • Weekday overnight departures can be up to an hour apart.
  • Vehicle fare bands change at 10 p.m.
  • Ask how passengers and each direction are charged.

Confirm a concession before using it in the budget

The operator describes resident, student and older-passenger cards. Its resident category is for Porto Seguro residents. Student wording distinguishes a municipal-line discount from free crossings when traveling to an educational institution. Ask what documents, trip conditions and card approval apply before assuming a discount.1

A short rental does not by itself confirm eligibility. Tell the operator where you live and how you intend to travel. Keep the full quoted category in your household budget.1,2

Arrange the airport transfer to the actual entrance

Porto Seguro airport publishes its address as Estrada do Aeroporto, Cidade Alta, Porto Seguro. Its own page lists private vehicle, taxi, ride-hailing and public transport as access options. It does not give an Arraial transfer fare or fixed journey time.4

Ask for the complete transfer to your rental, including the route, ferry arrangement, baggage, passengers and late-arrival conditions. Confirm who is meeting you and the vehicle. For an app booking, check the driver and registration against the official booking.4,5

Use where to live to compare the home journey, schools for collection times and healthcare for planned appointments. Confirm local onward transport and its current fare separately.6,7,8
