The short answer
Begin the housing inquiry with your dates, occupants, pets and access needs. Villa Traful's advertised holiday homes can provide a useful first base, but their terms differ. A ground-floor description can still involve stairs, while a larger duplex can lack parking and linen. Compare the whole stay and the exact entrance before choosing the cheapest quote.
- The selected properties quote prices on request.
- The Barrio Alto apartment accepts pets and requires at least four nights.
- Las Terrazas excludes linen and towels.
- Confirm longer-stay permission and costs separately.
Our take
Compare the individual property descriptions
| Property | Published home details | Conditions to use in the comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Las Terrazas duplex | Central hillside. Up to eight people, with bedrooms and full bathroom upstairs. | Steep approach and stairs. No parking. Shared balcony; Wi-Fi serves three duplexes. Linen and towels excluded. |
| Barrio Alto apartment | Last block of Barrio Alto. Two bedrooms, up to four people. | Sloping gravel street and descending stairs, despite ground-floor description. No parking. Pets accepted; linen and towels included. Minimum four nights. |
| La Puntilla cabin | Two bedrooms on RP65 near La Puntilla beach. | Kitchen, linen, Wi-Fi and DirecTV advertised. Minimum four nights. Ask separately about pets, parking and access. |
Aldea Traful's Las Terrazas description explicitly warns against the access for people with reduced mobility or advanced age. Its full bathroom and bedrooms are upstairs, with a toilet downstairs. The balcony connects three duplexes. Ask about privacy, the actual unit and everything included in your quote.1
The Barrio Alto apartment has two bedrooms and a full bathroom without a bathtub. Its listing describes ground-floor accommodation reached by descending stairs. Send the owner your specific access needs rather than relying on the floor label.2
Read the booking payment and cancellation terms
Complejo Villa Traful publishes a bank-transfer deposit in Argentine pesos, due within 24 hours after it sends the booking details. It lists balance payment at check-in in cash pesos or U.S. dollars at that day's dólar blue quote, or by transfer, debit or credit card. Ask for the actual total and exchange terms in writing.4
The same operator states that cancellation does not receive a deposit refund. It does not publish a deposit amount or percentage in those general conditions. Ask about your booking, dates and any agreed change policy before transferring money. These are this operator's terms, not rules for every Traful home.4
Price the longer home separately
Describe the intended stay
Give dates, occupants, children, pets and any home-working arrangement.
Ask for the contract
Confirm the length, payment currency, billing period, adjustments and early departure terms.
Get the full amount before moving
Request rent, deposit, agency charges, cleaning, linen and every other required payment.
Allocate the bills
Write down who pays water, electricity, gas and internet, and who manages each account.
Record the handover
Agree the inventory, existing damage, keys and meter readings.
The selected short-stay sources do not provide annual asking rents or a complete monthly household total. Build your own comparison from current written quotes, actual bills and your ordinary journeys. Keep the utility checks with the contract.8
Try the entrance and equipment together
Walk from the parking or drop-off point with bags. Check stairs, railings, lighting, drainage and the return after dark. Run the heating and hot water, then test calls from the room where you will work. An advertised Wi-Fi connection still needs your own trial.1,
For pets, distinguish the home's permission from protected-area outing rules. Nahuel Huapi National Park prohibits pets in its visitor guidance. Ask a ranger about the actual itinerary before assuming a pet-friendly booking permits every nearby outing.2,
Questions people ask
How much is a monthly rental in Villa Traful?
The selected original sources are holiday offers with prices by inquiry. Get a current longer-stay quote rather than converting a nightly booking into an assumed monthly rent.
Can ground-floor accommodation still have stairs?
Yes. The Barrio Alto apartment description explicitly requires descending stairs from a sloping gravel street. Confirm the actual entrance for your access needs.
Which selected home accepts pets?
The individual Barrio Alto apartment listing accepts pets. Ask the other owners separately. Home permission does not settle national park outing rules.
What extra costs should I ask about?
Deposit, cleaning, linen, towels, utilities, internet, parking, cancellation and any agency charge. Las Terrazas explicitly excludes linen and towels.
