Retiring in Tigre | Care, access and residence
Arrange care and inspect the complete home journey before moving. Keep Argentina's immigration income threshold separate from a Tigre household budget.

The short answer
Start with the treatment, prescriptions, insurance and everyday access you need. Nores publishes adult emergency care in Tigre Centro, while regular appointments and payment need separate confirmation. Inspect an ordinary home and the journey to care and shops. An island setting needs a dock, boat and service plan alongside the housing decision.
- Arrange ongoing care and its payment.
- Inspect the home and everyday journeys.
- Check the residence category for your income.

Pensionado and rentista residence
Ley 25.871 Article 23(c) covers qualifying regular permanent pension income. Article 23(b) covers qualifying passive income from assets abroad, excluding pay for personal work. Ask DNM which category fits your income and documents.1,
DNM Disposición 3446/2023 uses five minimum wages for the stated thresholds. From October 1, 2026, the monthly minimum wage is US$258 (ARS 391,200). Five wages equal US$1,289 (ARS 1,956,000). This is an immigration threshold, not a Tigre living-cost estimate. Confirm current application and transfer requirements.3,
Dollar equivalents use ARS 1,517 per U.S. dollar, the BCRA quotation dated October 9, 2026. Your card, bank or cash exchange rate may differ.10
Ordinary-home checks
The selected studio lists an elevator, and the one-bedroom advertisement lists a ramp. Inspect their dimensions and the full route rather than relying on those features alone. Check working heating or cooling and seasonal bills. Ask the care provider about records, appointments, documents and insurance before the move.7,
Questions people ask
Does the residence threshold establish what I can live on?
No. It is an immigration requirement. Price your chosen home, bills, food, care, insurance and actual travel separately.
Where can I arrange adult care in Tigre Centro?
Nores is at Maipú 257 at Casaretto and lists adult clinical emergency care 24 hours. Contact it about regular treatment, registration and payment.
What should I test before choosing island living?
Try boarding, the home entrance, supplies and the journey to regular care. Confirm changed-water and alternative-return arrangements for the actual dock.
