Posadas relocation guide
Utilities in Posadas
SAMSA serves Posadas and Garupá and publishes separate account-transfer requirements. The actual rental, account status and tenant documents determine what to arrange.

The short answer
SAMSA's transfer guide lists ownership documents, identity and an application, then names rental contracts among special cases. A tenant should ask which route applies to the actual home. Get the existing account details and recent water and electricity bills from the landlord before requesting a transfer or a new connection.
- SAMSA's service area includes Posadas and Garupá. That does not confirm an individual home's connection.
- Rental contracts appear in the transfer guide's special-case documents.
- The selected rental ads do not quote complete water or electricity bills.
- Ask the electricity provider directly about current transfer documents and any charges.
Start with the existing account and the landlord
Water account transfer
SAMSA lists a deed or certified purchase contract, a possession document in the relevant case, a copy of the holder's DNI and a signed application. It separately lists adjudication, loan-for-use, assignment and rental contracts as special cases. Ask SAMSA which documents apply to your tenancy and whether it accepts an alternative identity document.6
Do not assume every tenant must provide every ownership document, or that a lease alone completes the transfer. Ask about the exact account, how the holder signs, where to present the papers and any outstanding balance.6
Electricity and the home
Ask the landlord to identify the electricity provider for the account, then confirm any transfer or connection requirement directly. Current paperwork and charges are not confirmed in this guide. Ask the landlord for the meter and account information and a recent bill before arranging service.2,
Bills and internet installation
The rental prices are not complete service budgets. Ask which building, shared laundry or maintenance charges you pay, and whether any bill is shared with another unit. Near's internet offer also requires an installation and availability inquiry.1,
Questions people ask
Can I transfer water service using my rental contract?
SAMSA lists rental contracts among special cases. Ask which accompanying identity and account documents apply to you before visiting.
Which water-transfer documents apply to a tenant?
The general page lists several situations. Ask SAMSA to identify the applicable special-case procedure for your rental.
Should I request a new connection when moving?
First ask whether the home already has active service and what change the existing account needs. A transfer and a new connection are different requests.
How much will my monthly bills be?
The selected sources do not price your complete bills. Ask for recent bills from the actual home and check occupancy, consumption and shared charges.
How do I check whether the home has service?
Confirm the actual water connection and internet installation for the home. Provider-wide coverage alone is not an address check.
