Las Grutas Alquila is Viento Sur's temporary-rental service. It asks for a 30% reservation payment and the remaining 70% on arrival. Those holiday-booking terms do not set the deposit or full entry cost for a Leonarda annual lease.11,
Schools, care and local travel
The provincial school directory lists Primary Schools 184 and 362, Kindergarten 35 and Secondary School 98 in Las Grutas. Technical and some private-school options are listed separately in San Antonio Oeste. Confirm the actual campus, place and journey before choosing a home.2
Río Negro Health lists the hospital at Buyayisky 670 and a Golfo Azul health center at Punta Villarino and El Cóndor. Ask the provider about your treatment, current hours and possible charges. A May 2026 transport notice announced six weekday hospital stops.5,
Cliffs, tides and nearby outings
Municipal tourism describes coastal walks, Carlos Páez Vilaró's public art and the Bicentennial cultural center. San Antonio Oeste adds its waterfront and Casa de Jacobacci museum. San Antonio Este offers another coastal outing and marine-fauna excursions.14,
Use the current tide information and follow local beach notices. Municipal advice warns about the foot of the cliffs and rocky platforms. It also prohibits pets and vehicle access on beaches within Bahía de San Antonio.17

Is Las Grutas the same place as San Antonio Oeste?
No. GeoRef identifies Las Grutas as a locality in the municipality of San Antonio Oeste. The tourism guide treats Las Grutas, San Antonio Oeste and San Antonio Este as separate destinations.
Can I find an annual rental?
Leonarda has a separate annual-rental search and individual Permanente offers. Ask whether the exact unit remains available and whether its contract covers the period you need, including summer.
How much is a one-bedroom rental?
Unit 10 at Curru Leuvu and Las Dunas advertises US$296.64 (ARS 450,000) a month. It is one advertised unit, with fees, adjustments and availability still to confirm.
Can I use the bus for hospital visits?
A provincial notice announced six hospital stops on weekdays from May 26, 2026. Ask TLG whether that variant operates on the date and at the time of your appointment.
What should I test during a first visit?
Try the journey from a possible home to the school, hospital and bus stop you will use. Test the internet at the unit and ask about water pressure, storage and recent bills.
