Getting around Funes and traveling to Rosario

Lines 133/125 and 142 have Funes branches. The Rosario regional train is canceled, so plan daily travel around a current bus or road journey.

The short answer

Line 133/125 names Ruta 9 and Angelome in Funes, while line 142 names Mar del Plata and Acapulco. Some branches connect with Rosario's terminal, but not every bus on either line reaches Funes. Trenes Argentinos currently says its Rosario to Cañada de Gómez regional service is canceled.

  • Select the branch and destination, not only the line number.
  • The normal Rosario to Funes fare is US$2.31 (ARS 3,507); internal Funes is US$1.08 (ARS 1,635), effective October 6, 2026.
  • Check the schedule for your travel date. The October 10 timetables carry the operator's MEDIO FESTIVO label and took effect October 7.
  • Confirm vehicle access and the actual boarding point if you have mobility needs.

Regional rail and Urbanito

The current Trenes Argentinos page explicitly says the Rosario to Cañada de Gómez service is canceled. Older rail timetables should not be used to plan today's commute. The winter Funesito excursion is a separate seasonal attraction.5,16

The municipality announced an Urbanito extension along Galindo to Estancia Damfield in May 2024. Its launch announcement described free service in January 2022. Confirm the route, fare and timetable today rather than relying on those historical terms.12,13,15

Driving documents and the local office

National visitor guidance distinguishes qualifying Washington 1943 international permits valid for one year from issuance from qualifying Geneva or Vienna licenses valid for a maximum of one year from entry. Check the document and identity conditions for your case. Rental-company conditions are separate.1

Funes' driving-license instructions list Moreno 1420 and phone 0341 4936008. They require a DNI with the current address and the applicable documents and paid CENAT/SIJAI. Ask the office about eligibility and the complete charges before relying on a fee schedule.14
