Comodoro Rivadavia relocation guide

Getting Around Comodoro Rivadavia

Check your route's operator and the return journey. Qualifying SUBE transfers are free, but a current base fare and departure time still need confirmation.

The short answer

Plan the trip from the exact home to the place you need to reach. The municipal routes and first and last terminal times are useful starting points. Northern services require a separate operator check, and neither source gives a complete live trip plan.

  • MR and Transporte Diadema SA do not cover the same set of routes.
  • Qualifying transfers must fall within two hours, with a fifteen-minute minimum interval.
  • Check license eligibility and validity before relying on driving.

Separate the route networks

The city's July 23 announcement said MR would start in August 2026, retaining main routes and extending lines 3, 4 and 5 into Barrio Industrial. The municipal route file generated September 3 has 24 line identifiers.3,7

On October 9, the council described Transporte Diadema SA operating northern lines 10D, 11F and 11G under an extended concession. Those lines are not included in the MR route file. Confirm the northern trip directly rather than treating the file as the whole city network.4

Check the stop and intended day

Use the combined transfer carefully

From October 1, 2026, qualifying urban and suburban SUBE transfers are free within two hours, after a minimum fifteen-minute interval. The announcement says no additional registration is needed for the combined ticket. Ask how the rule applies to your route pair.5

A current base fare is not given here. Council resolution 13663/26 concerns a fare hearing rather than an adopted price. Do not use the hearing proposal as the amount charged on your trip.8

Check the license and its time limit

ANSV distinguishes a Washington 1943 international permit valid for one year from issuance from qualifying convention licenses recognized for a maximum of one year after entry. Issuing country, document type and personal status matter. Check those conditions before driving or renting a vehicle.1

Confirm the airport transfer separately

Ask the airport or the transport provider for the service, pickup point, operating time and fare on your arrival date. No current airport-transfer quote is supplied here. Do not assume an urban-bus route provides the connection you need.

Questions people ask

Who runs the northern buses?

The October 9 council notice identifies Transporte Diadema SA for lines 10D, 11F and 11G. Check the intended route and current time separately from MR.

Is the second SUBE trip free?

Qualifying transfers are free within two hours, with at least fifteen minutes between trips. Confirm that your particular urban or suburban route pair qualifies.

Does the official timetable show every departure?

No. It lists first and last terminal times for 24 lines, without full per-stop departures or day types. Confirm the exact trip.

What is the current base bus fare?

A current adopted fare has not been verified. The council resolution concerns a fare hearing, not a new price.

Can I drive on a foreign license for a year?

That depends on the document and applicable convention. ANSV gives one year from issuance for a Washington 1943 international permit, and a maximum of one year from entry for qualifying convention licenses. Check your eligibility.
