Cafayate Arrival Costs

AMT Resolution 243/26 lists the Salta to Cafayate one-way intercity fare at US$22.31 (ARS 33,847), effective September 1, 2026. It names Derudder Hnos. This amount does not price a local town bus, airport transfer, return journey or child ticket. Confirm the actual travel date and seat with the operator.^1,2

AMT's October 1 to 31, 2026 timetable includes a Salta departure at 6:50 a.m. arriving Cafayate at 10:50 a.m. A Cafayate departure at 11:30 a.m. reaches Salta at 3:20 p.m. These examples take four hours and three hours fifty minutes. Special rows apply October 9, 12 and 13. Use the row for the actual travel date.³

Cafayate town bus fares, taxi tariffs, a direct airport connection and the airport-to-terminal transfer price remain unconfirmed. A departure from Salta city does not include the airport transfer. Ask about every part of the journey, luggage and the return, allowing for the intercity timetable on your travel date.

A current monthly rent and complete upfront housing cost remain unconfirmed for these Cafayate properties. Ask the operator for the billing period, contract term, adjustments, common charges, deposit, commission and guarantees. Keep one-time payments separate from recurring rent before comparing the home with your income.

INNOA's Pasaje Tadeo ad states a 12-month term and first-floor accommodation. Kitchen/dining and bathroom appear separately from "Dos habitaciones". It also describes a small shared patio and washing space. Confirm the sleeping layout, whether the washing space is shared and how you reach the entrance. The tenant pays services, and no rent is published.⁴

Killa lists a Cafayate office at Rivadavia 237 and telephone 03868 454000. Its regional website advertises 300, 500 and 1,000 Megas options, subject to technical feasibility for the locality and address. Ask about installation, price, upload and equipment at the rental, then test the connection. Regional plan advertisements do not confirm an installed home service.⁵

Complete electricity, water, gas and sewer bills have not been verified for a selected home. Request recent bills and check the account holder, included services, outstanding debt and connection charges. Separate recurring usage from account-change costs. A single electricity rate cannot price all household utilities.

BCRA's directory, updated July 2026, lists a Banco Macro self-service terminal at Bartolomé Mitre 22, ground floor, Cafayate. The cash-ATM flag is NO. This supports the named terminal location, not a working cash dispenser or full-service account-opening branch. Confirm the facility you need before relying on it for your first withdrawal.⁶

BCRA guidance describes no-cost peso savings accounts for migrants with a residence certificate and qualifying identity documents. The actual bank still checks the residence and documents. This national guidance does not approve a visitor account or identify a working Cafayate cash dispenser. Ask the bank for its current requirements and account limits.⁷

A working cash ATM, foreign-card withdrawal fees, visitor account approval and current bank hours remain unconfirmed. Ask the bank about your transaction and documents. Arrange another payment method until cash access and card acceptance are confirmed; a terminal listing alone cannot settle them.
