Ushuaia relocation guide
Schools in Ushuaia
Choose the grade and program first. Provincial directory entries establish local contacts, while the school must confirm the child's place and language support.

The short answer
Ushuaia's provincial directories list early-years, primary and secondary options across the city. A central Maipú school, an Avenida Alem campus and a Pipo school create different daily journeys. Contact the correct level before choosing housing. The entries do not establish English-medium teaching, international accreditation or a current place, so ask about those points explicitly if your child needs them.
- Start with the child's grade and program.
- Check the correct campus and entrance.
- Confirm language support and transfer records.

Early-years inquiries
The initial-level directory lists Lucerito de Fuego No. 20 at Bahía Los Renos 3043 in Río Pipo, phone 02901 446820. It also lists Valle de Andorra No. 24 in Andorra, phone 02901 460118. Ask about age, place, schedule and the actual entrance before arranging the family's commute.2
A 2026 enrollment contact
An education ministry notice directs Ushuaia children without an initial or primary place to Bouchard 490, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., beginning February 12, 2026 until demand is met. It requests the child's and parent's DNI copies, a birth certificate and prior regular-student documentation where relevant. Ask the ministry whether that service still operates and which documents it accepts for a child arriving from abroad.1
Questions people ask
Is an English-medium international curriculum established here?
The provincial directory entries do not establish that. Ask the school about current teaching languages, curriculum and any accrediting body.
Does a private school name settle the language question?
No. Confirm the classroom language and the support available for the child's current level.
Can a foreign passport replace the DNI requested in the notice?
The cited notice requests DNI copies. Ask the education authority which documents and procedure apply to your child; a passport substitute is not established by that notice.
Are all directory entries inside Ushuaia?
No. The primary directory includes locations such as Lago Escondido and Puerto Almanza. Use the actual school address rather than treating every entry as a city campus.
