Moving to El Calafate with Pets
Get the landlord's answer before paying. Argentina's entry paperwork, the transfer and each outing all need their own pet arrangements.

The short answer
Moving to El Calafate with a dog or cat requires Argentina's entry documents and written housing permission. SENASA accepts an international veterinary certificate or a validated official pet passport, with specific health, treatment and rabies timing. The selected Haro rental excludes pets. Permission at other homes and on transfers or outings needs a direct check.
- The Haro rental says no pets. Other selected landlords need to answer for your animal.
- Antiparasitic treatment is within 15 days before CVI issuance or official passport endorsement.
- The health certificate is within 10 days before CVI issuance, a different clock.
Arrange housing and entry separately
The rental guide and lease questions identify the Haro restriction. Ask the other landlords about the actual animal and put permission in the agreement.2,

SENASA requires an international veterinary certificate or a validated official pet passport. Confirm the official export process for your origin and document route.

Internal and external treatment must be within fifteen days before CVI issuance or official passport endorsement. Keep the applicable document date separate from the entry date.
Does the health certificate use the same clock?
No. The health certificate must be issued within ten days before CVI issuance. Use that date for the health certificate; the fifteen-day treatment rule has different document options.
Which selected rental excludes pets?
The Haro unit at Rubén Haro 482 explicitly says no pets. Ask the other landlords directly; permission is not confirmed for those homes.
Can my pet join a glacier or reserve outing?
The current destination rules are unconfirmed here. Ask the park or reserve and the transport operator separately before booking. Arrange care if the animal cannot accompany you.
Where can I ask about boarding?
The municipal directory lists Servicios Caninos Charly at Calle 610, number 635, phone +54 9 2902 497676. Confirm availability, charges, requirements and the actual facility.
