El Bolsón relocation guide
El Bolsón cost of living and quoted expenses
Monthly rental examples and October gas prices help start a budget. They do not cover food, transport, healthcare or the home's full bills.

The short answer
Three advertised monthly rents are US$165 (ARS 250,000), US$297 (ARS 450,000) and US$363 (ARS 550,000), for different homes. Coopetel also gives October gas-cylinder prices. A complete monthly household total remains unknown because food, local fares, care and home-specific bills still need prices. Use the examples to build your own list, not to decide that a particular income will cover the move.
- The rental examples are separate properties, with utilities charged outside the Río Azul rents.
- Gas-cylinder prices cover a purchase, not a month's heating consumption.
- Fiber prices display May 2026. The base-plan billing period and current charge need confirmation.
- No complete one-person, couple or family budget is available.

Keep the dated internet charges separate
Coopetel's May 2026 fiber page advertises its 100 Mb plan at US$21 (ARS 31,900) for members and US$26 (ARS 39,900) for clients. It also lists a mandatory residential CAMIN charge of US$3.92 (ARS 5,950) per month. The base plan's billing period is not explicit, so confirm the current total instead of assuming it.2,
The same dated page lists new-connection charges of US$75 (ARS 113,050) for members and US$93 (ARS 140,950) for clients. These are setup payments, not a recurring household expense.2,
Fill the unpriced categories before choosing a budget
- Groceries and meals for the actual number of people.
- Electricity, water and heating at the chosen property.
- Current fares and the number of journeys you expect.
- Insurance, planned care and any personal medical payments.
- Phone, household supplies and other recurring expenses.
How the dollar comparisons work
Dollar comparisons use the October 9, 2026 BCRA quote of US$1 to ARS 1,517. Rents and larger charges round to whole dollars. Small amounts retain cents. A reference-rate conversion is not a bank or exchange-service quote. Ask the service you use about its rate and fees.2,
Plan the next part of your move
- Rent. Read the details behind each monthly figure.
- Utilities. Price the selected home's bills.
- Remote work. Request the current internet and connection quote.
- Getting around. Check the route and fare you would use.
- Healthcare. Arrange coverage and possible personal payments.
- Moving checklist. Keep setup costs separate from recurring spending.
Questions people ask
Can these figures tell me whether US$1,500 a month is enough?
No complete household total is available. Price food, the home's bills, travel and care alongside the chosen rent before deciding what an income can cover.
Does the gas-cylinder price cover a month?
No consumption period is given. It is a price for a cylinder of the stated size. How long it lasts depends on the home and how you use it.
Should I add the CAMIN charge to the fiber price?
The May page says CAMIN is mandatory and monthly. Ask Coopetel for the current base-plan period and complete bill before adding the figures into a monthly budget.
Are the rental examples an average for El Bolsón?
No. They are three individually advertised homes with different layouts and terms. They do not measure the town's typical rent.
Which dollar rate is used?
The October 9, 2026 BCRA reference quote of US$1 to ARS 1,517. Larger listed amounts round to whole dollars, while small amounts retain cents.
