Use Brazil's current veterinary framework
MAPA requires an official International Veterinary Certificate, known as the CVI, or an official passport issued by the origin country's veterinary authority, meeting Brazil's requirements. Its entry guidance applies the Portaria MAPA 741/2024 certificate model from September 6, 2025. Arrange this with the exporting authority rather than relying only on a private vaccination booklet.7,

Are the parasite and examination deadlines measured before arrival?
The published windows are measured before CVI issue. Parasite treatment is within 15 days and the clinical examination within 10 days before the certificate is issued.
Can my dog join a national park trail?
The park operator prohibits domestic animals. Arrange care away from the park. Do not treat a natural setting or a short trail as permission.
