The short answer
Use the municipal route directory to check which streets city buses serve, then confirm the nearest stop and current timetable. The city launched an experimental electric Line E in April 2026. For arrival, the Madre de Ciudades airport is about 3.7 miles (6 km) northwest of the city. A route on a page does not establish the wait, fare or accessible vehicle for your particular trip.
- Check the return journey, especially after school or an evening outing.
- Line E launched in April 2026 with cooling and access ramps.
- Confirm the local payment card. Do not assume another city's system applies.
- Santiago and Termas have different airports. Match the ticket to your destination.
Make the decision from your routine
Start with municipal routes
The municipal directory lists streets for routes 110 through 119. For example, route 110 connects Borges and Santa Lucía through streets including Belgrano, Lamadrid, Colón, Alsina and Lavalle. Check the actual direction and stop before choosing a home around it. No current ordinary fare or frequency is supplied here.1
The April 10, 2026 Line E announcement described an experimental north-south route between Independencia near Parque del Río and Barrio Aeropuerto. Its announced corridor includes Alsina, Roca, Núñez del Prado and Costanera. The city said it would use the same fare and electronic card as other city routes. Reconfirm the service and hours.2
Access and school travel need their own check
The city described Line E vehicles with air conditioning and ramps. That does not establish an accessible vehicle on every route or departure. Check the stop surface, boarding arrangement and street-to-door route for the actual trip.2
The 2026 municipal pupil benefit covers regular primary pupils in public and private capital schools on city buses. Ask the school and Transit office about registration and the card process. Do not assume it covers all secondary students or adults.3
