The short answer
Costelho advertises fiber in Centro and Las Golondrinas. Coopetel's July 2026 notice names Centro, Isla Centro and Isla Norte, while Villa del Lago expansion was still planned. Neither settles the connection, monthly price or call quality at a particular rental. Plan the home workspace and check immigration and tax separately.
- Get an address-specific installation and price quote.
- Test upload speed and simultaneous calls.
- Check the applicable stay, work and tax rules.

Published operator coverage
| Operator | Published local detail | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Costelho | Centro and Las Golondrinas; March office notice at Los Arrayanes and Los Notros | Actual home feasibility, price, upload speed, installation and current office hours. |
| Coopetel | July notice names Centro, Isla Centro and Isla Norte; Villa del Lago works planned | Whether the selected address is connected now, price and installation. WhatsApp 2944104463. |
Costelho's March notice advertises 200, 500 and 1,000 Mbps plans. Ask about upload speed and test the actual connection. A rental's generic internet-service label is not an installation confirmation.8,

DNM Disposición 758/2022 Article 1 provides up to 180 days of transitory digital-nomad residence for visa-exempt nationalities serving overseas clients. The full term is not automatic. One renewal is possible under Article 3, with presence in Argentina for at least half the original term and the required evidence.2,

Argentina taxes residents on worldwide income and generally taxes nonresidents on Argentine-source income. Income Tax Law 20,628 Article 116(b) addresses permanent residence or twelve months of temporary migration authorizations. Residence begins at the start of the following month under that provision. Individual circumstances and treaties need separate advice.1
Questions people ask
Which areas have advertised fiber coverage?
Costelho names Centro and Las Golondrinas. Coopetel's July notice names Centro, Isla Centro and Isla Norte. Confirm the exact property rather than assuming every address is covered.
Is Villa del Lago's Coopetel expansion complete?
The July notice planned completion for early August. Ask Coopetel whether your address is connected now; that notice does not confirm the work finished.
Can I book a public coworking desk?
A current public day pass is unverified. Plan a suitable home workspace or ask an operator directly about current access, facilities and price.
Does the digital-nomad route give everyone 180 days?
No. Disposición 758/2022 authorizes up to 180 days for qualifying applicants. Check the granted term, category requirements and any renewal separately.
