La Cumbrecita Utilities and Account Changes

Find out which services already work at the home. A tenant account change and a new water, electricity or sewer connection require different checks.

The short answer

Before renting in La Cumbrecita, ask whether water, electricity, sewer and internet already serve the home. The cooperative publishes separate processes for a rental account transfer and a new connection. The commune also has utility authorization and sewer forms. Identify the procedure you actually need before collecting documents or budgeting an installation charge.

  • Tenant transfers list a lease and DNI copy, with accounts current and free of debt.
  • New connections need property, authorization and installation documents.
  • Sewer base amounts are document references, subject to the tariff's update and surcharge provisions.
  • Current bills and foreign-document alternatives still need confirmation.

What to decide first

Change an existing rental account

The cooperative's rental procedure asks for the lease and a copy of the new holder's DNI. Commercial rentals additionally need ARCA registration. Accounts must be current without debt. The retained page does not confirm passport alternatives, a transfer price or a processing deadline.1

Before handover, ask who pays any outstanding balance, which meter belongs to the home, and when the new account takes effect. Confirm which charges the lease assigns to you.

Install a service only when needed

For new water and electricity service, the cooperative lists a written request, lot plan, boundary-marking certificate, title or purchase agreement and applicant DNI. It first asks for communal authorization in triplicate. The form identifies the property and separately selects water and electricity.2,7

The process also requires a completed supply pillar and later the home installation to be certified by a registered electrician. At least the first installment of the quoted connection charge must be paid. The page does not establish a fixed price or installation date.2

The communal sewer form is a separate application. It requests property and connection details and includes a communal inspection record. A completed form does not establish automatic approval.6

Ask for the current final bill

The printed private-dwelling sewer base is US$8.31 (ARS 12,600) monthly for up to 10 m³, with a reference excess amount of US$0.11 (ARS 168) per m³. Resolution 933/26 corrects the conflicting threshold in the original schedule. These USD figures use the October 9 BCRA reference.3,4,8

These are printed base amounts. Article 69 lists surcharges and Article 70 authorizes monthly updates. They are not verified current totals, water or electricity tariffs, or a fee for changing a tenant's name. Request a current bill for the home.8

A July 2026 gas distribution project resolution does not establish a gas connection at a rental. Inspect how the home heats rooms and water and what it uses for cooking.5

Plan the next part of your move

  • Rent. Assign each bill in the tenancy terms.
  • Living costs. Keep current quotes separate from reference amounts.
  • Remote work. Arrange the actual internet connection.

Questions people ask

Which documents does a tenant transfer need?

The published rental list asks for the lease and a DNI copy, with accounts current and free of debt. Commercial rentals have an additional ARCA requirement.

Can I use a passport instead of a DNI?

The retained procedure does not establish that alternative. Ask the cooperative which documents it accepts for your case before arranging handover.

Do I need a new utility connection or an account transfer?

The cooperative has separate processes for a new installation and an account-holder change. Ask which applies to the home before collecting documents or paying a connection charge.

Is the sewer allowance 10 or 15 cubic meters?

Resolution 933/26 Article 2 replaces the private-dwelling clause with 10 m³. The base document had conflicting words and numerals. The correction does not settle unrelated commercial categories.

How can I check whether a home has piped gas?

Inspect the home's heating and cooking setup and request the relevant account information. The project resolution does not confirm gas service at an individual home.
