Test the trips you repeat each week, and arrange rural return journeys before leaving town.

The short answer

The urban bus fare gives you one useful cost input, but it does not answer every travel question in Bento Gonçalves. A weekday trip, Sunday journey and rural winery visit can require different planning. Test the route you would use regularly, including the return home, before deciding that an address works without a car.

  • The urban base fare is US$1.45 (BRL 7.25).
  • Student and worker discounts have purchase conditions.
  • Rural wine and heritage routes need their own travel plan.

What the urban decree actually sets

Municipal Decree 13349 of July 1, 2026 sets the urban base fare at US$1.45 (BRL 7.25). It takes effect on publication. This figure does not establish selective or interdistrict fares.1,3,6

Article 2 gives eligible workers without vale-transporte a 10 percent discount and students a 50 percent discount when buying between the 10th and 20th of each month from concessionaires. Confirm eligibility, documents and payment mechanics.1,3

Choose the right day in the search

Bento Transportes separates weekday, Saturday and Sunday urban searches. Its weekday option is labeled from February 18, 2026. The operator warns that holidays change trips and that travel times are estimates.2

The timetable text publishes +55 54 3452 2977 for inquiries. Its footer gives +55 54 3452 1955 and General Gomes Carneiro 185/195, Centro. Confirm the trip with the operator if the search does not settle it.2

  • Test your outbound trip and the last practical journey home.
  • Check the exact boarding point and the route from it to the door.
  • Ask separately about wheelchair boarding, luggage or pets.
  • Keep airport and interdistrict quotes separate from the urban fare.

Rural travel is a different task

Vale dos Vinhedos includes locations across three municipalities. Caminhos de Pedra runs through rural São Pedro. Arrange the destinations, reservations and return transport together, especially when a tasting is part of the day.4,5,7

Use address choices, workspace hours, school travel, outings and rain precautions to test your routine.

Questions people ask

What is the urban base fare?

The July 2026 decree sets it at US$1.45 (BRL 7.25). Other service categories are not established by that urban base amount.

Are Saturday and Sunday buses the same?

The operator provides separate Saturday and Sunday searches, and warns of holiday changes. Check the day you will actually travel.

Can I use this fare for a winery trip?
